27th of June 2011 · We embark on the theme of Insects this term. Over a 2 week cycle through the term, your children will take home activities that are related to the theme. We endeavour to make each activity age appropriate. · We would also like to request that you please send your children in on time each day. Drop-off starts at 8.45am and we close the doors by 9.15am. If you arrive later, please proceed to the office for the HFMD check. · For parents sending and picking up your children, please drive in head first and not back up so that the exhaust does not hit the children. · For those who will be celebrating their birthday during school holidays and would like to celebrate with us, kindly send at least two photos of your child each year, with notations, a week before your child's birthday. More information will be relayed to you by the directresses as each directress is allotted a birthday to celebrate. · We will be holding our annual "Grandparent’s Day" on the 1st of September. Venue is at the Sunset Way Playground, 10.00AM. Kindly RSVP the number of attendees by 12 August (Friday). This is also the last day of the term (no extended day). Please be reminded that Aikido will have it’s finale during the Grandparent’s Day. Mandarin Classes will finish at 1.00PM. For parents whose children are on the bus, kindly notify the office if you would like to pick up your child/ren on this day. 21 of March 2011
· We embark on the theme of The Rainforest this term. Over a 2 week cycle through the term, your children will take home activities that are related to the theme. We endeavour to make each activity age appropriate.. · For those who have children with food allergies and/or have dietary needs due to religion, please run through the recipes that we will send you. As always please kindly send in the replacement for the ingredient for your child during the week of that recipe. · For those who will be celebrating their birthday from March to June and would like to celebrate with us, kindly send at least two photos of your child each year, with notations, a week before your child's birthday. More information will be relayed to you by the directresses as each directress is allotted a birthday to celebrate. · Please be reminded to bring the plastic file case provided by the school to your child. This is where we ask them to put all the artwork that they have created during the day. · Booking for the Parent - Teacher conference is now open. Please call 6469.2123 or visit the office to set an appointment. PTC schedule is from 25th – 27th of May (Wednesday – Friday). There is not school on these days for the children. · The last day of Term 2 is on the 24th of May (Tuesday) . No extended day.
4th of Jan 2011 Welcome back to The Little House (Montessori) and to a new year. I wish you all a calm year ahead. We would like to highlight a couple of administrative points. · We embark on the theme of The Pond this term and over a 2 week cycle through the term; your children will take home activities that are related to the theme. We endeavour to make each activity age appropriate. · A gentle reminder that Tuesdays are “Show and Tell” days. Please help your child pick an item to show. Due to time, each child only shows and chats about one thing. · A reminder that every child should come into school with a spare change of clothes every day. · Music and movement is held every Friday. We would appreciate that your children are attired in shorts and tee-shirts on the day to facilitate movement. Dresses for girls tend to hinder. · Lastly but of no less importance, please ensure that the office is told of any changes in address and contact details. This is vital for cases of emergencies. |
