The children held the rope with their partners and started their walk towards Woodlands Madras restaurant, the first stop of the field trip.

After Woodlands Madras, the children went to a shop nearby to get their bindis. Shop owner, Mr Anbu, kindly opened his shop earlier so that the children could visit it. His business card will appear at the bottom.
There was a lovely collection of bindis for the children to choose from.
It was wonderful to see the older children help their younger partners to choose their bindis.
To complete the Deepavali experience, the children were led to a bazaar where a vast array of colourful items were sold.
